The Research and Innovations to Support Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) was to be the campus’ first reseach facility. A research technology center that was to become the primary communications technology hub of the entire Mid-Atlantic region. The six story structure was designed to house the applied research, graduate-level education, and training for the workforce of the future in science and technology.
